Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy in plain language — how Get Payday Loans Canada collects, uses, and protects your information.

This privacy policy explains what information we collect on getpaydayloanscanada.ca, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow the principles of Canada’s federal privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Who We Are

Get Payday Loans Canada is a free, online loan-matching service. We are not a lender: we publish educational guides about payday loans in Canada and connect visitors who choose to apply with licensed third-party lenders through our lending-network partner. You can reach us at info@getpaydayloanscanada.ca.

What This Privacy Policy Covers

This privacy policy covers this website only. When you click an application button, you are taken to a secure application operated by our lending-network partner; the information you enter there is collected under that partner’s privacy policy and shared with licensed lenders for the purpose of processing your request. We encourage you to read the privacy policy presented on the application page before submitting it. Likewise, any loan agreement you sign is between you and the lender, under the lender’s own privacy terms.

Information We Collect on This Site

  • Contact form and email. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you include in your message. We ask that you never send banking credentials, card numbers, or your Social Insurance Number by email — we do not need them and will never request them.
  • Automatic technical data. Like nearly all websites, our server and analytics record technical details such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the page that referred you. We use this in aggregate to understand which guides help readers and to keep the site responsive and secure.
  • Cookies. We use a small number of cookies: performance cookies set by our caching system, and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit). Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you personally to us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site keeps working without them.

We do not collect loan-application details, banking information, or credit information on this website itself.

How We Use Information

  • To answer your messages — usually within one business day.
  • To measure, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve our guides.
  • To maintain the security and performance of the site.
  • To meet legal obligations if we are ever required to.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email lists — if that ever changes, we would ask for your express consent first, as Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) requires.

Who We Share Information With

  • Our lending-network partner and its licensed lenders — only when you choose to submit the application on their secure form, as described above.
  • Service providers that run this website: our hosting provider and Google (analytics). They process technical data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes beyond providing the service.
  • Authorities, only where the law genuinely requires it.

How Long We Keep Information

Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Aggregate analytics data is retained on the standard Google Analytics schedule. We keep no application or financial records, because we never collect them.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, access to our email is restricted, and we collect the minimum information needed to operate. No website can promise perfect security, which is one more reason we ask you never to email sensitive financial details.

Your Rights

Under PIPEDA you may ask us, at any time, to:

  • show you the personal information we hold about you (usually just your email correspondence);
  • correct anything inaccurate;
  • delete your correspondence, where no legal reason requires keeping it; and
  • withdraw consent to any use of your information, subject to legal limits.

Email info@getpaydayloanscanada.ca and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. For information you submitted on the application form, contact the lending-network partner or lender named in that form — they are the custodian of that data.

Children

This site is intended for adults who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory. We do not knowingly collect information from minors; if you believe a minor has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted prominently. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
